I STILL CAN’T GET OVER HOW MUCH FUN I HAD DOWN SOUTH WITH THE LADIES OF CAPITOL. CHARLOTTEANS ARE SUCH WARM AND FRIENDLY PEOPLE BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY THEY HAVE IMPECCABLE TASTE IN FOOTWEAR, COURTESY OF CAPITOL OF COURSE. I WAS SO AMAZED BY THE VARIETY OF SHOES AT THE EVENT HELD FOR JOSEPH ALTUZARRA THAT MY EYES WERE COMPLETELY GLUED TO THE FLOOR THE ENTIRE TIME. I HAD NEVER BEEN IN THE COMPANY OF SO MANY AMAZING SHOES. EVERY DESIGNER FROM PROENZA SCHOULER TO GIVENCHY WAS WELL REPRESENTED. IT DEFINITELY WAS A SHOE FETISHIST’S DREAM AND I COULD EASILY SAY THAT THE WOMEN OF CHARLOTTE COULD RIVAL THE WOMEN OF NEW YORK OR EVEN PARIS WHEN IT COMES TO HAVING BEAUTIFUL SHOES. TAKE MY WORD FOR IT!

HOORAY FOR MY FELLOW CHARLOTTEANS!!!! I’ve been saying for years how much potential charlotte has! I’m sooooo glad your bumping it because it’s such an amazing city, and i’m so glad to be part of it!

I love how Mcqueen thinks of transcending the leather jacket trend to shoes ( those shoes makes your feet look like they’re wearing a leather jacket).
and because of your blog, I changed from a bag person to a shoe person. Life is so much more fun with nice shoes:)

Nearly died when I first saw the McQueen shoes in store. The SA insisted I try it on but I was too afraid, knowing that once I did I’d probably fork over the cash and buy it straight away! I’m going to definitely be there when they go on sale!

Ah! That last pair of Dries Van Noten tugged at my heart strings, as I once ‘purchased’ them online, only to be told a few days later they were sold out (after they took my money too!).

I love this post for two reasons.
1) Hot shoes
2) Proof that southern women are avant-garde. We don’t just wear pearls and twinsets. Some of us are very fashion-forward.
