Me too. These shoes are so versatile:-) You could walk on the moon in them and feel at home. Or you could add them to your super heroine outfit. Or you could maim anyone who threatened to harm you in any way. What else?
wow… these are amazing!!! You could command attention in them so easily as everyone would either be
a) intimidated by them or
b) won over by their beauty
I DIE. I saw the close up of these while reviewing the collection and I seriously thought I had died and gone to heaven…at least, I hope this is what people wear in heaven.
*SHOEGASM* DAMMNNNN THOSE ARE THE FINEST PIECES OF FOOTWEAR I HAVE EVER SEEN. NICHOLAS, YOU HAVE MY HEART FOR EVER AND ALWAYS– WANNNTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!
Wow, okay these look pretty damn inpressive, i admit. But seriously…OTT much? The fashion world seems completely and utterly involved in the BAROQUE right now. Statement heels are the epitome of this wave, but I can’t help wondering when it will end? How are these Kirkwoods wearable at all? It’s like a pretty girl with a skimpy top, short skirt, red lips and high heels all at once…there is simply too much going on! Fashion is not merely meant to be a celebration of extravagance…but it seems to be that way in terms of footwear recently. But after all that, I still can’t help but admire them in all their glittery shiny goodness!
I agree with you WJ. They are stunning as a work of art . . . but wearable? It seems that there are a few people who would wear them, but I have to admit that I wouldn’t. There’s just way too much going on. The spikes, the nuts and bolts, the whole medieval armor thing . . . Love the leather work, though.
Those are incredible. I think they’ve crossed the line though from being functional shoes to being ones that you just look at and drool, or you know, own so you can take them out of the closet every once in a while to look at and drool.
These are fantastically sci-fi. Whoever says they’re unwearable, you’re SO wrong. As is the bf, whose response to these shoes was “what, are those like +10 strength shoes?” <–apparently a ref to dungeons and dragons (who knew?). Psh.
Just to respond to a few comments made above: how can you say these aren’t wearable? and too much going on? you clearly don’t appreciate the work of Rodarte. These shoes are meant to inspire and I hope Tommy posts a photo of someone wearing them.
can’t help wondering: why would they HIDE those beautiful shoes with all the smoke in the show?
can’t wait to see these on further entries when you spot some lucky fashionista wearing them
Straight out of Mad Max. Apocalyptically awesome. Deadly. Delicious. Dangerous. Like a girl’s costume out of a Dimmu Borgir video. Seriously.
Fuck me dead!

THEY ARE INCREDIBLE! MARVELOUS! RIDICULOUS! MONSTER! UNBELIVABLE! ETC…
That shoe would change your entire outfit (not to mention your attitude entirely… They who can pull them off are gonna be them who wear it the simplest… But striking shoes though… I think it’s save to say that Kirkwood just kicked Louboutin’s ass? lol
