i’m still dying for the runway version of these.
i got the “consumer” version, at Barney’s. but there was a serious loss-in-translation from runway to production. the runway versions were edgy, and intense. the consumer versions placed a zipper in the back, and pre-laced the straps through D-hooks, making it look more like the Louboutin Nimoinitoi, than Rodarte. furthermore, for a retail of $3500, (or $3825.24 after tax), bolts should not be falling off.
the ankle high version, however, translated very well, and i returned the thigh high version, and got the ankle ones.

These Rodartes are something else…Topshop Boutique must have used them as inspiration as they have a pair of ankle boots very similar.
