HIGHLIGHTS OF 2009: PART 1//

I’M GOING TO DO SOMETHING OUT OF THE ORDINARY TODAY: TALK ABOUT MY PHOTOS. I DON’T EVER REALLY LIKE TO ELABORATE ABOUT MY PHOTOS JUST BECAUSE I HATE WRITING BUT TODAY I’M FEELING ESPECIALLY GRATEFUL FOR ALL THE AMAZING MOMENTS THAT HAVE OCCURRED THIS PAST YEAR AND BY THAT, I’M REFERRING TO THOSE MOMENTS I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO CAPTURE ON FILM. I WON’T GET INTO JUST YET BUT WHAT EXCITES ME THE MOST STILL TO THIS DAY IS BEING ABLE TO DO WHAT I DO.
TO GET THINGS STARTED, LET’S BEGIN WITH SHOES. YES, SHOES ARE INDEED ONE OF MY FAVORITE SUBJECTS TO PHOTOGRAPH. I’M BEST KNOWN AS THE SHOE FETISHIST OR SHOE PORNOGRAPHER TO MOST PEOPLE WHO COME VISIT MY BLOG. I LOVE SHOES DON’T GET ME WRONG BUT WHAT REALLY INSPIRED ME TO START PHOTOGRAPHING SHOES WERE MOMENTS LIKE THESE TWO IN PARTICULAR. OUT OF ALL THE IMAGES OF BEAUTIFUL SHOES I’VE PHOTOGRAPHED THIS PAST YEAR, I CHOSE TO HIGHLIGHT THESE TWO JUST BECAUSE THEY CAPTURE WHAT ONE FAILS TO SEE AMIDST ALL THE CHAOS. THERE’S SOMETHING QUITE PERVERSE AND GRATIFYING ABOUT GETTING INTO AN UNCOMFORTABLE SITUATION TO PHOTOGRAPH A SHOE AT IT’S BEST AND WORST. BASICALLY YOU HAVE TO GET OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE. WHETHER I’M KNEELING DOWN IN THE MIDDLE OF A STAMPEDE OR OBNOXIOUSLY CHASING AFTER A COMPLETE STRANGER, I GET MOST EXCITED ABOUT THE THRILL OF CAPTURING AN IMAGE THAT MAY UNPREDICTABLY TURN OUT BETTER THAN EXPECTED. THAT’S THE BEAUTY OF IT REALLY; YOU JUST HAVE TO RISK IT, POINT AND CLICK AND HOPE FOR THE BEST.

No need to explain yourself, there is no harm in loving shoes!
And you’re doing a hell of a job with this blog.
Happy holidays! Tiffany
PS: are those louboutins with a extra sole at the bottum so that the red lacker won’t scratch off? anyone who had this done with their pairs? I’m afraid of taking my Louboutins to the shoe repair guy, since i guess he has never seen a pair of louboutins up close and he’ll probably ruin them…

You are the best and may I just tell you that I love your pictures !!!
A dream for 2010 : my shoes shooted by you… the orange ones
See U next year and thanks for every little smile you’ve put on my old face (please forgive my poor english.)

I am also addicted to shoes!!! or more specific, I am addicted to LEGS!!!!! People always put too much attention on the clothes and forget to also “dress up” for their foot.
Shoes can make or break an outfit!!!
January 1st, 2010 at 7:42 am
Both of these pairs are amazing… I have a slight preference for the first one, though. Happy 2010 and thank you for sharing all these gorgeous fashion pictures!

Your blog has provided me with such beautiful eye-candy over the last year–thank you! As someone with a street-style blog, I understand the concept of chasing after strangers and getting into uncomfortable positions to get what you hope will be that great shot. Keep doing what you do, your blog is wonderful!
