In a way, I don’t want to move on from my image of her in the 70s.. it’s weird when you see really famous faces from the past in the present, and to an extent they’ll inevitably disappoint (like when I saw Catherine Deneuve in Paris last year and I just wanted her to look like she did in her film heydey, but obviously you can’t control age, and it’s stupid to be disappointed but part of great beauty is probably the mystique and intrigue and seeing these people in the present kind of diminishes that).
Ohhhhhhh Jane……..beautiful mother of the incredible Lou and Charlotte…….god she was soooooooooooooo amazing way back in her day and she still looks wonderful but I wish she hadn’t cut her hair….
I find her even more beautiful today then she was back then, and she was Gorgeous back then, wasn’t she? But she looks like she’s lived some life now, and that always makes people look more beautiful. I can only hope that the person who is “inevitably disappointed” will feel differently when they are a little older.
i wish i had the balls to decorate a birkin like that, i can barely walk past the hermes store without feeling like a scruffy urchin!
then again, it was named after her, she can do what she wants to it.
she still has that amazing smile.
Dear Hapsical and all you other Youngsters viewing this blog,
people tend to get older and even you will ! And if you happen to get older and still look like Jane Birkin – you´ve made it ! She is now 62, but look at her smile, her features and her figure ! The way she wears her clothes and puts it all together ! She was gorgeous then and she is gorgeous now !
